The question of meaning

Why do you hike 100km and more?

We get asked these and similar questions again and again.

The answer is actually quite simple: Because YOU can do it!

But much more important is the question, what does it give you?

Here it is hard not to get carried away.

The ULTRA clears your head. It already starts in the preparation phase.

Plan about 3 months here. Your life changes - you spend less time in your apartment, in the garden and on the couch. Your pedometer will become an elementary part of your everyday life. You'll make sure you reach your 10,000 steps and more every day.

You'll discover the community on Fitbit, for example, and take on various competitions. If ambition has now gripped you, the foundation for the Ultra is laid....

You feel better, exercise does you good! In the best case your partner will be there as well. What can I say - your life just gets better. You talk to each other more. On the long hikes through the beautiful nature you share a lot of impressions and have a lot to talk about.

Along with that, you pay more attention to your body. You drink more water and eat healthier. You get to know yourself better.

You're doing it for you and yet others will notice it too.

You have a goal, or even better, YOU have a common goal. But this time it's not about your professional career or how you can earn even more money, it's about balancing your everyday professional life. It's about living and not just working towards the next vacation.

Oh God, that sounds like life help - actually I just wanted to explain to you why you run 100km and more.

But I forgot one important point - you will meet a lot of great people on the ULTRA...

I am looking forward to meeting you!

So go ahead, buy yourself a pedometer ;-)
